Happy Sunday guys!!! Who’s watching the soccer game tonight ?? I’m rooting for my home country italy 🇮🇹 💚. Should be a great game, who do you think will win, Italy vs England?
Good morning people! Its Tech Thursday, lets get technical! I'm going to share with you some of my favourite apps I use when traveling abroad.
1.) Trip it - wanna stay organized? This free app shows your trip details at a glance: flights, hotels, car, map, directions—all in one place. You can sync your travel plans with your online or mobile calendar as well. Its really nice to have everything you need all in once place.
2.) Google translate- This is a must I can't tell you how many times I use this while abroad. Whether you asking for directions or simple communication it has saved me so many times. Not to mention when you run into a non english speaking hottie abroad 😛. Its so simple you type in your language and what you are trying to say an then click on the translation in which ever language you like and wa-lah ! It also has been quiet accurate with what you are trying to translate. Give it a shot.
3.) Food Spotting- To all my foodies out there, this is your app! This app is free and helps you find all the foods your craving within your location by connecting you to the nearest restaurants based on your needs. Gives you pics of all the dishes and reviews from other food lovers.
4.) Oanda Currency Converter - Money, money, moneyyy! This is a must have, currency is ever changing even daily. This app filters daily rates for more than 190 currencies. So to keep up on what your money is worth while on the go you can quickly check using this app.
5.) Whats app messenger- Last but not least, you definitely need this. I use this to communicate daily with friends world wide. It works in every country and uses wifi to operate. So you don't have to worry about changing sim cards in each different country download this app for free and stay connected.
Hope you find some of my top 5 apps helpful when traveling this summer. Ciao - Mila xo
Happy hump day All!! I hope everyone has recovered from the 4th of july 😉! I received some questions from a few of you about how to travel on a budget this summer. I have made a small list of a few "travel hacks" I find helpful when planning a trip on a budget. Hope they work you!
1.) Make sure your "private browser" is turned on in your computer when searching flight an hotel deals. Why? This is because airlines and travel sites are able to record your visits by installing cookies on your browser, which can cause the prices you’re shown to rise because you’ve searched for those flights before. This is to fool you into buying your flights quicker and encourage impulse buying, the sneaky devils!
2.) Wanna save on baggage? Try to fit all your clothing in a free carry on. The best way to do this is to roll your clothes in a cylinder form instead of folding and layering your clothing. Trust me it saves so much more room!
3.) Apply for a revolut card before your trip to save on bank commission fees and ATM fees. Works just like a debit card and is accepted in 150 countries world wide.
4.) Worried about your phone bill? International calling can add up quickly when are you traveling outside of your country. Check first with your phone provider to see if they have a monthly plan for international usage. If not try downloading whats app, viber and skype to communicate world wide with just using wifi. Don't have access to wifi? Buy a sim card in the country you are visiting.
5.) If you are able to, try to book your flights on a Tuesday or come back on Tuesday. Tuesday is almost always the cheapest priced day of the week to travel, due to the low demand for flights on this day.
6.) Search out free or inexpensive activities in the area you are visiting. Such as art galleries, museums and historical cites around the city. Also always ask the locals, I have always found them to be the most informative and helpful with suggestions you may have not been aware of.
7.) Check out your city's street food! It's cheap and cheerful and most likely will give you a better understanding of the countries cultural flavour 😎. Don't just wine an dine get down with street food!
8.) Last but not least, do your research! Read other travel blogs, use trip advisor to read other travellers reviews. Choose a destination that is within your budget so you are not shocked when you arrive there and are able to have a good time with you budget in mind.
Try and keep these tips in mind for your next trip 🥰! Ciao - Mila xo
To all my American friends !! Who is ready to celebrate the 4th tomorrow ? Whether you are in America or abroad comment below your plans ❤🤍💙! Can't wait to hear 💕
Cheers to the weekend 🥂, Its fun fact Friday ! Did you know travel exposes you to different environments, which create stronger antibodies and boost your immune system significantly? With that being said traveling can become your best probiotic. Well now you know so get on out there and boost that immune system people, whether its to the park, winery or sex club. Enjoy yourself - ciao xox 💋
This post is all about Happiness 😄! What is it that makes you happy? For me, I found that my happiness and passion in life is to travel. I could never get enough of exploring new places, cultures and people. I have always had an appetite for exploring since I was a kid and I am so happy that I am now able to share that with an audience 😍.
I have worked various job through out my life, many of which involved traveling on the job, but left me no time to explore the places I was in. I was so consumed by the corporate world and everyday life of working to live and living to work that I felt soul sucked from the very joy that traveling once had given me. I finally decided in 2019 to leave my stable corporate job and take a year off for myself to travel and enjoy life. I spent majority of my time around Europe and in Italy where I currently reside with my family. I documented as much as I could of my travels within this time to be able to share them with others. Only Fans has been a great platform for me to do this.
As we all have experienced the pandemic of 2020 which left most of us in lockdown, I had happened to be already in Greece at the start of it and decided to stay put for the Summer. I was able to travel around the islands of Greece during that time. Please Enjoy some of my pictures in little Venice of Mykonos. It was an amazing opportunity for me to get some great shots with the lack of tourists 😉. Thanks for reading, stay healthy and happy my friends - Ciao Mila xo
It's Taco Tuesday 🌮! Here's a little food for thought💕. I wanted to share one of my favourite quotes with you. “Happiness is not a station you arrive at, but a manner of traveling.” —Margaret Lee Runbeck
One of the most difficult things to over come when traveling is jet lag! So how do you hack jetlag? I've made a simple list of the different methods you can try to minimize the effect that jetlag can have on your body. Sort through these and find which one best suits you.
1.) Get a good nights rest before your travels.
2.) Change your clock to the present time zone of which you are traveling to once you have boarded the plane to get yourself psychologically aligned.
3.) If you are open to sleep aids try taking some melatonin while in flight at the time of which you would normally sleep. Melatonin is a natural substance which your body naturally produces to help you fall asleep.
4.) Not a fan or sleeping pills? Try to choose a flight that will have you arriving at your destination in the evening, that way you will have a better chance at falling asleep quickly and feeling more adjusted to the new time zone.
5.) Avoid caffeinated drinks while in air, try to just stick with water and hydrate. The more coffee you drink or alcohol will just make your adjustment period worse.
6.) If you are landing day time, try to stay awake as long as possible and get plenty of sunlight. Sunlight naturally helps the body feel better an stay awake.
Try some of these tips next time you have a long haul flight 😉. What personally works for me is sleep aids in flight and landing during the day and staying up until evening in my new time zone. Hope this has been helpful, Ciao 😘 !
Gotta love Mondays! Starting off this week with a quick health tip ;) Don't forget to hydrate my friends especially when flying. Flying may be a quick and convenient way of getting around, but it does have some negative affects on your body. Some of the common health problems that affect airplane passengers, for instance, are often the result of a lack of humidity in the cabin air chamber. As a result of this it can lead to dehydration in body which is why you should consume plenty of liquids in air. I also like to pack evian water mist to give my skin a nice refreshing spray during international flights. Happy travels my friends ✈
Cheers to the weekend ! Fridays are my favorite 🥰! I’m kicking it off with a nice glass of wine with this amazing view!! What is your weekend ritual? Comment below 😘
Who else is excited for California's full reopening?!?!? 🙋♀️🙋♀️ ME!! So for those of you living there or are wanting to visit in the next couple of days here is a quick Q & A of what to expect in the golden state:
Q: what is all expected to reopen?
A: Restaurants, gyms, shopping centers/malls and everyday places such as coffee shops, nail salons ect. What will now be able to operate at normal capacity with psychical distance requirements- Schools and health care facilities and a couple of others. For a full complete list please California's department of public health website
Q:(And everybody's favourite) Where do I still need to wear a mask while out in CA?
A: Crowded events such as sporting stadiums, concerts, parades, protests, fairs and generally large gatherings of people. This also includes public transportation, busses, airports, trains and during uber rides. Please also keep in mind even if vaccinated other people around you may not be, i.e.: children, pregnant women and others who have chosen not to .So its important to protect yourself and others by just wearing your mask when in large group settings 🥰.
For further information on California's reopening guidelines please refer to this link: www.cdph.ca.gov
To all my travellers and friends in CA, enjoy a safe and healthy summer! kisses - Mia 😘
It's finally the weekend guys! Waaahooo! So I've been getting a lot of questions regarding safe traveling during the pandemic. So based on your questions I made a quick list of 3 key points to keep in mind:
1.) Check your destinations!!!! I cant stress this enough, don't wait last minute to see what's going on in the specific country your going to visit. As regulations are constantly changing its extremely important you at least do a weekly check in with their governments online embassy for any new news that may be happening in your destination and also with your flight transportation. So if need be you can make quick changes in accommodations or cancellations. But lets hope for the best as the world is slowing becoming more vaccinated.
2) This is a obvious one, but PACK A MASK! for those of you who have not gotten out or are living in a less mask wearing environment, that does not mean where your visiting is in the same situation! I'm 100 percent sure during your flight you will be required to wear a mask. So be smart, take a pack of masks to have on hand and don't be a A-hole about it ;)
3.) Lastly, many destinations require travellers to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test prior to their arrival. Each destination is different when it comes to test requirements, so be sure to read the fine print on official government websites. Also be sure to have that valid visa for your destination.
I hope this was helpful to you guys! Safe and healthy travels to you all ! Ciao 💕
Happy Friday loves! Now that I have your attention... Let's talk about that cold hard cash🤑 . For those of you planning summer trips I have some recommendations for you regarding the best way to travel with cash and card ;).
Cash may be king but those currency conversion rates an bank commissions are not! I have a fast and easy solution for you! About a week to 2 weeks before your trip I would suggest applying for a Revolut card. Its used as a debit card and accepted in over 150 countries world wide.
Whether you’re living abroad or have family overseas, you can hold, exchange, send and receive 28 currencies like MXN, CAD and EUR in seconds. Apply for your card while on your trip or before it. Revolut allows you to bypass international fees and bank commission fees when pulling money out of the ATM. Check it out if you’re interested :) Safe travels my friends xo
Hi babes! Spring has sprung 😍 and summer is finally here. As of May 14th 2021 Greece and other EU countries will begin to reopen their borders for travellers all over who possess a negative COVID test along with completed Vaccine documentation. (please advise from which country you are leaving from) So get your passports ready and start planning now, the world is slowly opening back up 🤗. I want to share with you one of my favourite party destinations of all of Europe, Mykonos 🥳!!
Mykonos is an island located in the heart of the Cyclades (chain of islands in Greece). It is notorious for its chic beach bars, high class dining/nightlife and dreamy hotel stays. There is no other island like it. Unlike the romantic island of Santorini, I suggest you round up your best friends and plan a trip to Mykonos for a minimum of 5 to 7days to enjoy all the party aspects of the island. I will go on to recommend some places to eat, drink, party and stay.
For couples and guests traveling from 2-4 guests I Highly recommend staying at Cavo tagoo, it is located about 2.7km from the town which is about a 10min drive in taxi. This is an amazing luxury hotel which overlooks the Aegean sea and Mykonos town giving you the best sunset views along with an infinity pool bar. It's perfect for sunset drinks or to start your night off at. Second place I would recommend for those of you who are seeking more of a villa stay along with hotel services is Santa Marina Hotel. This hotel is located in Ornos beach which is also about a 10min drive to the town. Santa Marina is a 5 star luxury hotel Resort & Villas, featuring unique private sandy beaches and providing a legendary lifestyle. For groups of 5 or more I highly recommend you seek Private Villa Rentals there are many agencies that offer these. I suggest checking out visionairemykonos.com. This agency has the best quality of villas and selections along with services such as private drivers, chefs, yacht rental accommodations and concierge services.
Now the fun stuff ! I could go on all day about where to go out for lunch parties and more so I will list my favourite places and time of day to visit. The following places I recommend to visit for lunch that turns into a day club all located on the beach side: Principote, Spilia, alemagou, Scorpios, Nammos and SantAnna. These are best to go to from 1:00pm -12am. There are many more restaurants and clubs you can find but these are my go to. For those of you who are more about nightlife clubs from 11:00pm an on there are many to check out inside the town such as : Sanctus, Toyrooms, Boas, Semili, Porta Bar, Caprice, Astra, Moni, Cavo Paradiso, Queen and Bonbonniere.
For additional recommendations based on preferences and budgets please feel free to comment below or DM me :) Efharisto Friends an safe travels 💋
Happy Friday Loves!! Figured I start the weekend off with a poll. Your opinions matter to me ❤, please let me know what you would like to see more of. If none of the options interest you, feel free to drop a comment below. I'm always open to suggestions ! Have an amazing start to you weekend 💕💞
With summer just 4 months away , I can't stop thinking about where to go next ! Here's a trip I'd like to share with you from last summer from the greek island of Andros. This is one of the best hidden gems of the cyclades. The island is notorious for its natural running streams and hiking paths along with its beautiful sea front villages.
This island is best suited for those of you that value the great outdoors. I came here for the beaches and the hiking, which other islands of course have beaches, but none have the hiking element that Andros has. I suggest hiking at Vourkoti, Gerolimni. This is located in the valley of Achlas River which springs in Zenio in Mt Petalo and ends in Achla Beach. Google the name and you can find this hike within a 20 minute drive from the town of Batsi. This hike is for intermediate hikers, round trip is about 5KM. It travels you along the stream in the middle of the mountain which leads to a waterfall and pond at the end of the hike. This place is amazing for cliff diving or just to take a swim.
I recommend spending at least 2-3 days here. This island is more for daytime activities, as the nightlife is very low key. I suggest you stay in the sea front town of Batsi. There are many cute apartments and boutique hotels to choose from, Airbnb and booking.com have the best rates available for these.
Where to go for dinner? I personally like seafood especially when traveling Greece as it's always fresh and reasonably priced for the quality. Check out this seaside restaurant, Oti Kalo. It's a small but beautiful eatery located on the second floor which gives an amazing overview of the port. They have a mix of fresh caught fish to traditional greek dishes such as moussaka. Can't go wrong with either 😋
For additional information or questions please comment below or send me a DM 🥰
For those of you still stuck in lockdown like myslef, keep in mind that nothing last forever . Stay positive an enjoy the free time, I've spent my time enjoying more of the outdoors and staying busy exploring new places that were always right in front of me 🥰 Hope you enjoy my pics xoxo
Welcome to Santorini, Greece 😍! One of the most traveled to of all the Greek islands. Intend on planning a trip here in 2021? Be sure you spend at least 4-5 days to explore all the island has to offer, from its various villages spread throughout, to the Red beach and its active volcano!
When you do visit I highly recommend you stay at La Perla Villas and Suites in the heart of Oia. This is a 5 star stay which can offer the most incredible views of the island along with your own private pool and wait staff. If you're looking for privacy, luxury and authentic greek beauty this is your spot! Not to mention the food 🤤.
Aside from lounging in your room and eating the traditional greek food and soaking up the sun, I suggest exploring and shopping along the main street of Oia. You can find amazing clothing boutiques, traditional pottery and art.
Want to head to the beach? Definitely check out Red beach. It's famous for its red volcanic sand and unique landscapes. I suggest you arrive there to grab a bed before 2:00pm to get a nice spot ;). Red beach is located in the area of Akrotiri. You can access the beach by taxi, as parking is a bit scarce.
Lastly don't leave until you have checked out Sanotrinis volcano located on Nea Kameni island. You can access the island easily from the old port in Fira by ferry. The ferry ride is about 10 minutes or so to the island. Even though this is an active volcano, don't worry the last small eruption was in 1950. At present the volcano remains dormant. If you check tripadvisor there are plenty of tours daily to the island.
If you have never been to Santorini I suggest you put this island high on your bucket list to visit, it's not only for the honeymooners 😘. DM me any questions in regards to recommendations on other hotel stays, nightlife and dining! Enjoy my friends 😊
Happy Monday Loves! I hope you all had an amazing weekend 💕 Remeber Monday is a state of mind, so lets get up an be kind to others an do something positive. Don't forget to check your DM's for a little monday motivation 😉 Have an amazing day !
Hi Guys! I hope everyone is having an amazing weekend 💖. I wanted to share my pics from my last travel I did before our second lockdown. These pictures are from the Greek island of Tinos. Tinos is located in the heart of the cyclades and is known for its beautiful rocky beaches, iconic chruches (Church of Panagia Evangelistria) and its authentic villages.
These photos below are from Leivada beach, its a small and exotic beach which is easily accessed within about 5 km from the main town. The road will lead you to the village of Steni and from there a rough track will get you directly to the beach. Or if you like you can access with a 15 euro cab ride. This beach is perfect for topless sunbathing ;), surfing due to its large waves and hiking on the rocky terrian. Feel free to pack some light snacks such as my summer time favorite cherrys or strawberries.
There is an amazing resturant to go to right above the beach called Livada beach restaurant, perfect to have dinner after a long summer day. I hope you enjoy my pics xoxo 💋
Good morning loves! Happy hump day 😉! I'm just day dreaming of the day i'm able to travel next, I know its been difficult for us all to get out an explore. Where is your next destination going to be for 2021? Drop a comment below 💕
Hey guys! These pictures are from last summer of my travel to Sarakiniko beach in Milos,Greece. Even though it's categorized as a beach, Sarakiniko isn't the typical “beach”. It does have a sandy area, but it's only a small surface at the end of an inlet that divides Sarakiniko in half. The remaining 90% of the surface is a combination of various geological materials, including eroded volcanic rock, sandstone, and pumice stone and ash. This gives it the white “lunar” landscape look that it's known for. It doesn't make it the most comfortable beach on the island, but it is the most unique.
Weather your going there to lay out an get some sun or take photos, Sarakiniko has a few amazing spots to cliff dive. There's a very popular area for cliff diving on the left side as well. The diving rocks are on an incline so you can jump from a smaller height and work up the courage to jump from the top.
If your are more of a explorer like me, be sure to check out the old mine caves right behine the beach you cant miss them! Make sure you have a flashlight available, they're dark and unmaintained, but a definate must see!
Sarakiniko is located about a 15 min drive from the center of town, its easliy accessible by car or a 8-10 euro taxi drive. I hope this was informative for you, drop your comments or questions below 😄
Have you done your redemtion from 2020 yet? Put Greece on the top of your bucket list to visit not only for its beauty beaches but its arcitecture. On mykonos island alone their are over 365 churches. Which is quite ironic considering Mykonos is known for its summer party scene. These chruches are scattered everywhere around the island. My second picture is a famous chruch in the town of Mykonos called Paraportiani (which translates to "standing next to the entrance door"). The church is located at the entrance of Kastro neighborhood. Its the perfect place for photos weather your religious or not, enjoy the tradtional greek architecture Comment all your questions below 💕
Hi babes! Have your travel plans mapped out for 2021 yet? I have the perfect summer spot for you, Milos Island in Greece. These pictures are from Kleftiko caves in Milos. It's the perfect place to spend the afternoon while aboard your own private boat or catamaran. Enjoy sipping on rose and swimming amoungst the natural caves in crytsal blue water. Milos is one of the most unique islands of the cyclades, its a volcanic island that offers exrtemely rare landscapes and beaches. Hope you enjoy my pics 💋
