My first camera was little yellow disposable film unit that I cake in a pack of three. They were an all-around reliable camera to catch ever day life, especially social gatherings. After processing what must have been a hundred rolls (or, entire "disposable" plastic cameras), I learned to love that look. It's like 8mm film, it just has a certain character that sets it apart. Well, I've decided to bring back that look and we're kicking it off with JMO! The sample above represents a small part of the full 70 image set. I have returned from my vacation with a brand new broken hand. Broke it on the first day out while jumping from a thousand foot cliff save a drowning puppy. Thankfully I was mostly caught up before vacation so I just need the time to get things sorted before getting them out to you guys. I also have 2 shoots this week, one with Lindsay and the other with a new model whom I think you guys will like very much. The shoot with Lindsay is going to be hilarious considering I can't even hold a camera in my right hand, but we'll make it work. Expect more very soon!

Hanging out at a friend's apartment and we started talking about shoots, modelling, etc. Obviously I talked about the work that I was doing at the time and Noelani, who had done some light modeling, was very interested in doing an impromptu shoot *right there on my friend's dining room table*. So we cracked open a bottle of good shit to use as a prop (which we promptly drank afterward) and decided to go with the well known "slightly sauced lass gets on the table and takes all her clothes off" theme. We didn't put a lot of time into the plot or anything.

This set was shot in the same room as our Rent set except this an in-person shoot. The beautiful and petite Joy has blessed our timelines with her presence. I worked with joy last year and we had planned on working together again but then, you know, shit happened. Eventually we got around to booking and I had her came down the other night and we shot a couple scenes after dark. The first was in this hot tub setup, but it didn't quite go as planned. I think I need to replace a breaker because my underwater pool lights will sometimes trip, but like "sometimes" as in basically never except for when you need them most. So I panicked a little, a lot, but it made me to improvise and hot damn did it work out. I miss the splash of color I had with Jennifer Morris' Hot Tub shoot, but I had ran out of portable lights (that means I should buy another RIGHT?). Regardless, the photos came out amazing and the video looks JUST like the photos, very proud of this one. Enjoy!

Here's a classy set with Lindsay, shot in beautiful Hotel Majestic over in SF. There was so much availability at the hotel that they actually gave me a pretty good selection of rooms to choose from. This one happened to be facing in such a direction that I could squeeze out just a litttttleee bit of that 'sunset-through-sheer-curtains' look for the whole 5 minutes it was available. Scheduling is getting rough at the moment, but I did manage to get Joy to come down and hop in the spa for some fantastic night shots (and some killer video, holy shit). I also have a few more Jennifer Morris sets, one of which is SEVENTY IMAGES deep! Expect to see more of that soon!

Sabrina Maree - This was one of the first times I used the "two-umbrella'd-lights-with-both-at-full-power" setup and golly did it make this scene look a lot more like porn than I had anticipated. All I had at the time were 2x umbrellas w/2x flashes on sticks, and the lights weren't even adjustable, it was all or nothing. Because of this, the light spill was *horrendous* and basically splashed bright white light on everything. If "today me" went back, I'd point a bare flash into the far corner and put a red haze behind her. Main light would be much further back or maybe even pointing at the wall. You can see how hard the shadow is in some of the pictures and that's just not acceptable unless I am specifically going for this look, and I definitely was not that day haha. This was actually the same weekend AND same bed I had my first shoot with Lindsay on, now THOSE photos actually came out great, I'll share those later.

My friends, after a 2 month stay here in the bay area, Jennifer Morris has finally returned to the mouse house in deep Florida. As of the beginning of last week, she was expected to return to work in a restrictive capacity (no contact with guests), but lots has changed in Florida since then, lots. During her stay we knocked out 8 sets, and I still have a handful of sets that I'm working through with one of them at an absolutely massive count of ~70 images! If the mouse house fails to open and further extends the furlough of its employees, I would expect we may see JMO return to the Bay Area once again. I'll keep you all posted. The last image in the gallery above shows a preview of the accompanying video, it is very much a POV BTS and I wish I would've thought of doing BTS like this last year when I first got my insta360.. it's *that* good of a setup. I went flipping through some old shoots, from before the Patreon/Onlyfans days, and came across this set from 2013. Actually, it was the only set from 2013. I don't even think I got around to editing for at least another 6 months after the shoot because the main boudoir scene we shot came out so terrible (mostly technical) that I didn't even look at this other scene we did in front of the window. I'm glad I did, though, working out this color grading really changed the way I edited photos for long after. Nowadays, I need to shoot regularly, and when I'm done with the shoots, I space out the sets so I can have a steady flow of work. The pandemic brought me down to 1 shoot a month between February and April. It's still not over, of course, but from May through June I've done 6 shoots thanks to a combination of remote shoots and, I guess we'll call them "PPE shoots". I was actually *this* close to getting a remote shoot with Shasta Wonder at her home in Rwanda, but her camera didn't support tethering! These next months I'm looking forward to getting super creative with getting content made, because it's going to get made. Thanks for your guys continued support.

It's been a busy couple of weeks here in the US and even here in my own house but I still wanna make sure we get these out because these shots are fucking AWESOME, especially considering they were done remotely! Lindsay makes it easy, though, she has years of lighting experience from back when she worked on different ongoing video series so she knows what works and what doesn't. She also just picked up her own Canon 6D mk II which frees up my rig to give to another model on loan so we can continue to shoot through lockdown. It's not all bad news, though, as I've just worked out a shooting schedule that would allow me to shoot after 9pm here in the backyard. I recently tested the setup with Jennifer Morris so you'll be seeing the results of that very soon.

This set was recently requested so I figured I'd throw it up..

This set was recently requested so I figured I'd throw it up here. This shoot happened back in 2016 and was taken in my backyard when it was completely overgrown and the lemon tree and ivy were the only splash of color that I had. Made for an interesting looking set, though, and Caroline aka TortillaPirate sliding out of this yellow summer dress made it that much more interesting. The final picture is a BTS with Caroline's partner holding the diffuser disc for me, lots of credit deserved there as the diffuser really helped keep the sun in check. Anyone wanna hold diffusers for me at future shoots? 🤔 *EDIT* Just added the other set we shot that same day, completing my Caroline collection. It was my first time shooting in front of a plain backdrop, before I started working on the On Paper series. Actually, one of the images was used as the album cover to a music project I had completed around that time.. Wow it's been a long time since I've released new music :-X

It's the summer of JMO and LINZ isn't it? Man these have been some strange times, but I am thankful for these two women and, of course, all of you folks who have continued to support these projects. Thank you thank you thank you. Without looking at the last image in the gallery, would you have guessed that this was a remote shoot? As I detail in the BTS video ($5 tip or check DMs), this shoot was a blast and had very little hiccups. Jennifer cleaned up her kitchen and dm'd me a selfie in this outfit and that was pretty much it. She's actually coming over this upcoming Sunday to do a night shoot in my backyard by the pool! I actually just realized I need to test the 360 camera's quality at night by the pool, I'd be impressed if we get quality BTS video in the middle of the night. I have, however, taken some test photos of a few potential scenes (in the spa, around the firepit) and the images look pretty good. Oh, I'll also be using my new Falcon Eyes LED Light; I've been testing it lately and it's a pretty flexible little light tbh. I'll follow up once I get a few shoots in.

I had this idea where I'd go for a harshly backlit set with two fluorescent tube lights flanking either side to give the scene a dank basement vibe. The results weren't quite what I had hoped for, visually, but Di's commitment made it worth the attempt. You see, Di is into droolplay, and just playing with spit in general, and that fit in perfectly with the vibe of the scene.. soooo I let her slobber all over the floor for the sake of art (The floor was cleaned and disinfected afterward, of course).

If I didn't tell you this was a virtual shoot, you'd probably never know. There's a shot of the setup on my Twitter (@akamikebphoto) and you can see it's pretty basic with just one softbox and a couple of lamps with RGB bulbs in them. I owe a lot to Lindsay, of course, as it was her concept we were shooting AND her amazing Victorian style couch! Lindsay and Jennifer Morris have been the lifeblood of this platform during this pandemic and I can't thank them enough. So far my attempts at a remote shoot with others hasn't been met with quite as much success (Shawna Lee backed out because of lack of lights and others simply don't have basic gear), but I have a hopeful I'm going to talk to this Tuesday with plans to shoot Thursday night. She'd be brand new to this community so you'll just have to wait to see her ;) I am also contemplating packing up the remote shooting kit I've put together and shipping it off to models whom I trust in far off places, but we'll have to wait and see on that.
