COUNTDOWN TO MY 53RD BIRTHDAY ON VALENTINES DAY!
Learning new things CONSTANTLY helps keep the mind youthful- I learned how to do these fun videos recently and love them!
Spark joy for yourself and others ALWAYS.
Human connections and broadening your circle of friends when one is older or at any age during this Pandemic have been VITAL to emotional well-being.
People have in the past complained about the over-use of the Internet-without it, how could we work, live, play, keep from being isolated as we navigate this new existence?
Stay well, my friends, and embrace all things new and exciting!
Let's discuss Aging & Sexuality:
A Goddess at 33 may not have the libido that one has at 43 & beyond-
De-sexualizing Women is criminal, especially as they grow older. One can hide behind a facade or embrace the changes-True Empowerment encompasses *all* aspects of the Divine Feminine.
Today, I went off of my usual diet and exercise routine to have a beautiful brunch with my gorgeous friend @hiitwithpaloma.
I am incredibly sleepy as a result, but that is to be expected.
What do we do when we “fall off the wagon”? I have the simple answer here.
It is body butter o’clock! As we age, moisturizing and hydration are a few of the most important things that we can do for our bodies!
The body butter I use is an intense body cream formulated with mango seed butter, hyaluronic acid, Japanese green tea, cocoa seed butter, evening primrose, and vitamins A, C, and E. These exceptional ingredients work together to help restore softness, hydration, and elasticity to even the driest skin.
DM me for more information and keep that skin moist!
Going to sleep with wet hair is never a good idea, especially when you have waves and graying locks.
Use a good leave-in conditioner before bed and don't do what I did.
On the other hand, my skin looks amazing at a week shy of 53. I rarely wear makeup anymore.
Good skin care is the key.
I will be 53 years old in a few days and I have NO MAKEUP ON in this photo.
Here is my Holy Grail:
1. I wash my face 2x a day with my skincare (DM me for more info) and never go to bed without washing!
2. I drink a gallon of water daily
3. I swear by my FitBit to keep an eye on my steps and heart/oxygen health. I am a pulmonary embolism and covid survivor.
4. Rebounding on a mini-trampoline EVERY HOUR or as much as I can per day for at least 10 minutes, to keep blo0d clots from forming and to help my cardiovascular health/maintain weight.
5. At least 10-20k steps a day
6. Eat 6 small, lower carb meals a day
7. ENJOY LIFE AND PLEASURE TO IT'S FULLEST- especially important for people over a certain age. We have no idea what day will be our last- live it up!
8. Curse all I want, do what I want, OWN the IDGAF and be an example for others. Timidity only gets a person stepped on. Embrace your WHOLE SELF.
9. Keep your circle small and surround yourself with people that make you feel positive- or at least will be your wingman when you don't.
10. I stay away from fake people. I am outspoken to a fault, so they generally don't care for me anyway and I am so pleased that I have this superpower.
11. Sleep as much as you can, take vitamin D3 if you have autoimmune issues, and practice self-care.
12. tell the people you love that you love them NOW. There might not be a tomorrow.
I am sure there's more, but it's time for me to wake up and start my day!
All messages that come with a 👉🏻 TIP 👈🏻 are the first ones answered. 💕
⏰ Time is precious and fleeting. If you don't know how quickly time goes, simply ask yourself where you were 1, 5, 10 years, or minutes ago. Your tips ensure that I am able to spend some of my time with *you* first.
I will attempt to get to *all* messages in a timely manner, but there is only one of me. ❤️❤️
When you wake up and the SNOW IS STILL THERE and it isn't just a bad dream.
Winter can be so drying to the skin. I will be 53 in 10 days and I use the best skincare available (DM me for more info).
Keep your skin moisturized during this dry, cold season and don't forget to exfoliate 2x a week if you're over 30!
After 50- especially if you've experienced life, abdominal surgeries, hysterectomy- it is essential to keep your core strong.
I highly recommend rebounding as an excellent form of cardiovascular exercise, along with yoga and pilates for those abs and muscles.
Your body is the ONLY 'vehicle' that you have in this lifetime to drive-take care of it as best you can.
This is what REAL WOMEN look like.
20 years ago, age 33.
A health regimen starts from the INSIDE OUT. We cannot control the march of time, but we *can* mitigate its effects on our bodies and minds.
You can be beautiful at ANY age and I can show you how.
You will hear me say all the time that aloe 🌱 is our first ingredient. But do you know WHY that is important?
The first ingredient (usually water) makes up between 75% and 95% of a product! Yes, you read that right. This is why most skincare products go so fast it's basically all water.
The skincare I use is ALOE-based, it's why it lasts so long like up to 6 months! But the main reason is that aloe is a powerhouse plant. It works for all skin types, including acne-prone skin. It has powerful anti-aging properties and antioxidants.
The list goes on and on....and if you are using a product that says it has aloe in it, how far down on the list is it?? Once you get past the first 5 the amounts get smaller and smaller.
What's the first ingredient In YOUR moisturizer?
Snowed in, made tea instead of coffee this morning because fumbling to the Keurig while half asleep makes for poor decision-making/pod differentiation skills.
Today marks my 1st week on this site and it has been absolutely insane! I am sending a huge thank you to those who bought my skincare... and a friendly, wicked reminder:
I am over 50, have ZERO FILTER, do my own DMs, survived numerous near-death experiences, and will write whatever I like here.
The realities of getting older are numerous: feeling invisible, having a body that doesn't always do what you used to be able to, being more cranky at times because no working ovaries means not giving a flying crap about what people think at the end of the day.
WHAT MATTERS IS that we take care of our skin, our bodies, move/exercise, love to the fullest, come from a heart-based center.
TODAY is all we have, even if life (and blurry eyesight) means getting a cuppa Earl Gray instead of some coffee. NOW IS EVERYTHING, live it up and roll with it.
Above all, wash your face twice a day!
~Jess

Rebounding is an excellent way to improve cardiovascular health, help autoimmune issues, lose weight, and just get your fitness in without joint impact -not just for those over 50 like me, but people of all ages!
It also helped improve my lung health after pulmonary embolisms and 3 bouts of covid.
PM me for more information and keep that skin moist!

Me at 33-
I am 53 now.
Smoking is SO bad for the skin and health. I used to smoke, too. Almost everyone did back in the day. Save your skin and your cardiovascular system by giving it up as I did.
