I just woke up after about a 3hr nap. 😴 I was packing, printing scripts/sides & refilling my travel containers all night long. My mom is very upset with me that I’m not at her house yet. She expected me to go there yesterday after my makeup appointment.
Which, the more I think of how that went, the more I think maybe my client didn’t like the look I did on her. Which makes me feel… Like shit. ☹️ She got kind of oddly quiet while I was cleaning up after the appointment? You can see what I did for her on my Instagram, if you’re interested.
I asked her, like I always do, if there was anything I could change for her at the end of the “treatment”, as we makeup artists call it. And she was silent & then said, “Let me ask my mom.” Her mom said to soften the eyeshadow shape that I gave her, which was sort of up turned at the side like kind of like a cat eye without the winged eyeliner…
So I softened it & softened the edges of the whole shape. She still was kind of quiet. But when she paid the remainder of the balance she did tip me $25. Which was great! That doesn’t always happen with makeup services…
I just have this twisted feeling in my gut about it. I really want to make people happy & feel confident. That’s the whole reason I got into training for & doing beauty services. Maybe I’m just dwelling… ???
Anyway, I have a short list to complete before I get on the road to Louisville. Of last minute packing & I need to clean out my car a bit. And I at least wanted to tackle that in day light. So let me get moving! I’ll update again once I arrive there! 😊

1. Proud that actually fucking did them even though I am soooooo wanting to just chill for a bit before I leave my house again!
