Wearing a good sunscreen is an absolute must when it comes to protecting your skin. Skin cancers, sun damage, age spots, wrinkles are all the result of excessive sun exposure.
Pamper yourself and protect your skin "NOW*. It's never too late to start. You can reverse the signs of aging by using a good skin care regimen and seeing your dermatologist regularly.

I love lash extensions- mostly, because the older I get, the less makeup I wear (if at all). They last for weeks, are no more bothersome than getting nails done, and look fantastic!

Let's talk stress and anxiety management: I am a huge fan of massages, spas, self-pampering, exercise, and eating right.

Woke up (and later than I wanted) to take my mom with dementia to her doctor's appointment.
I am blessed to have parents that are still alive. However, watching your vital, beautiful loved ones age and get sick takes its toll.
The care of parents is something so many of us at 50 and over share but rarely discuss.
If you also care for elderly parents, make sure to take some 'me' time out for self-care.
Estate planning, health care system, and caregivers, all of it needs to be put into place and maintained.
We *also* need, as caregivers, to care for ourselves.
If you are in the same boat as I am, sending you massive love and good vibes. It's so hard.

This was 6 months ago. I am 25 lbs thinner now and I failed to realize even then how glorious we are in the moment.

today was rough. I am recovering from 3 bouts of covid and it hasn't done my heart any favors.
While getting ready for my birthday today, I thought I would have to be rushed to the emergency room because of tachycardia.
I am ok now. but I had a rough patch for a moment

Isolation and loneliness can be very pronounced as we get older, especially during times of celebration, like Valentine's Day.
Today is my 53rd time around the sun and I also feel these pangs as I grow older.
The key to maintaining healthy mindsets, even in an Internet Age is to reach out, make connections- seek like-minded folks.

When it comes to workouts, because I am a pulmonary embolism survivor, I prefer rebounding.
Rebounding keeps the immune system, cardiovascular system, and lungs strong.
As a person ages, staying healthy is *IMPERATIVE*.
You gotta move it or lose it.
It is also amazing for steps and weight loss. I try to do at least 12k steps and 40 minutes or more on the rebounder every single day.
